Oak Park Chicago
As autism design specialist  collaborating with B3 Architecture and PACTT (Parents Allied with Children and Teachers for Tomorrow) a concept design has been completed for an educational facility that includes sensory bespoke classrooms, multi sensory rooms, recreation and social facilities located in the historic Oak Park. As part of the transition process the autistic individual is able to access deep into the building, via courts, without actually entering the building it self so reducing the abruptness of change. 
Al Khobar
For the Al Fozan Social Foundation the first autism centre in the region opened 2019. Deep cantilever's create shaded perimeters to the building offering protected courtyards for safe play. The shaded perimeter also provides a sensory subtle transition from the harsh bright external environment to the calm cooler internal environment which is beneficial for the autistic user.

Abu Dhabi Autism Centre the first government run specialist centre in the UAE opened 2017. 
 A conscious effort was made to limit the pallet of materials, predominantly sandblasted limestone, creating a simple calm uncluttered aesthetic which plays to the sensory needs of autistic individuals. The whole building is cloaked with an etched glass brie soleil which reduces the sharp glare and shadows that can impact negatively on autistic users, the environmental impact becomes more gentle and subtle a positive for the autistic u ser.

An assessment and day centre for autistic children in Riyadh. The design responds to the sensory needs of children on the spectrum and offers bespoke support service's. The centre is the first pilot branch with others planned throughout KSA.

Sans Souci
Collaborating with Axis Mason and Andium Homes a day centre for Autism Jersey based on the Channels Islands. The centre will be a base for professional training as well as life skills support training for individuals on the spectrum. A simple courtyard links old to new and provides a slow reveal entrance sequence into the centre.

Ibri
Autism unit in Ibri a small town in the deep interior of Oman local engineers of record Arcop. Specialist spaces include music and drama theatre's and autism specific classrooms. The concept of borrowed thresholds was utilised placing trees within the fabric of the building uniting inside to outside supporting easier transitions for autistic individuals.

Sure Start
A timber pavilion for the UK Governments family support initiative. Spaces include child play zones and parent support spaces. The timber façade was engineered and fabricated off site with the proportion of the panels defined by the Fibonacci serices.

Zylofone performing arts centre for autism set in the Hudson Valley USA. The charity wanted a site that was set in the woodlands as a back drop for the creative and performing arts. External courts are formed by vista walls which support wayfinding within the site and campus.

Whilst each apartment is self contained there is an invisible door that connects all three apartments of staff efficiency. The concept is an open plan arrangement which provides legibility. Spaces permeate around the central kitchen hub that can be concealed when not in use to reduce distractions.

Swalcliffe Park School
Masterplan competition for the development of a specialist school for autistic children. The priority was to develop a site that would enable the school to grow organically and piecemeal within the concept of predictability. We sought to reconnect the school to the adjacent fields over the river that runs through the site and create pockets of new designs that surround and embrace the existing grade 2 listed house.

The manor contains sensory specific living spaces for autistic adults and a smaller educational pod sits along side the residence in order to bring distinction between working, learning and living.

Thomas Bewick School
An exemplar school for autistic children for Newcastle City Council. Two golden spirals define the orientation point for both Junior and Senior departments with classrooms set out on the edges of the spiral entering off the spiral route. An early intervention department sits at the tail of one of the spirals adjacent to the main school entrance.

One of the first schools for autism in the UK,. now closed, for individuals with high care needs. The existing buildings form the educational facilities whilst two new buildings were designed to create sensory supportive residential areas for boarding facilities.
